Another year over. 2012 was not as productive as I would have liked, but no year is, especially when you work full-time and move and all of that.

I took time to do a little bit of travel that I always wanted to do. Visited my good friend chronentity in Dallas, and spent Christmas in Cuba, and got to go camping for the first time in a few years. That side was productive and I needed the year to reset because I had a lot of change, good and bad, to take care of. I don't want to get into it here, though, because I keep this journal mostly for art and try not to comment on my personal stuff or politics or drama (both in life and on the site here).

Moving on, here's a run-down of what I'm working on in 2013:

-New Erstwhile comic
I'm working on The Worn Out Dancing Shoes, though I prefer the other title Twelve Dancing Princesses. This time I also wrote the adaptation. I am trying to finish it for the end of February, though I lost time during December between being sick, being on vacation, and just work tiring me out.

-New Queen of Hearts
I'm working on a third book in the series with the subject being Vicky (Victoria), Princess Royal (1840-1901). I felt my last comic in the series was weaker than the first. I hope this one will be better and do justice to poor Vicky.

-Next Dark Mirror
Time for Dark Mirror 5, the next in my Ocarina of Time (Legend of Zelda) series. I was nearly about to say I had no new Zelda stuff in 2012, but that's not true because I did do the Skyward Sword comic. This series will be 7 volumes total (one for each sage). It means I won't be completing the series until probably 2015. I started it in 2007. Crazy, huh? I will eventually be handing over digital copies of this comic and my other Zelda stuff gradually to historyofhyrule.com to archive and host, as I

-Complete my Twilight Princess series
My other Zelda series, which will be a total of four books, and this is the last. I've had the script finished for over a year now, but had no time to work on it. Hoping to finish it, then get some compilation copies printed.

-New Suddenly Sentai project
I have a group of friends I me through Anime North, and we decided to form a comic group called Suddenly Sentai. We did our first comic last year, titled This Tastes Funny, a food comedy available for purchase here: www.suddenlysentai.com/books  We are planning a new comic this year, so I've penciled that in.

-New Filthy Figments project
I penciled in time to work on a new project for the Filthy Figments site (adult content). I wanted to do better than my initial offering, which I feel is vastly inferior to all the other work on there. So I've penciled that in as well and hope they will be able to accept it.

All these projects should bring me to the end of 2013. For 2014 I have roughly scheduled to work on another Dark Mirror comic, some original comics that are not either fantasy or historical, and continue on with the most important personal project I have scheduled this year:

-The Triumphant Return of Velharthis!
This is the big enchilada. My original goal of relaunching in May 2012 went bust because I pissed away a lot of time in January and February this time last year. Then I wanted to relaunch November 2012, and that didn't work either because I moved in October and that was nearly more than I could handle. However, since that time I've hunkered down some, mostly because I figured, "How many times will people tolerate me pushing the date back?" I wouldn't tolerate once, honestly, but I did, and then I did again.  I'm happy to say I'm in the midst of toning the new chapter 1. I'm also formatting it for later release in print (ooooh!)

While you wait for the relaunch, I'm posting stuff on Facebook and Tumblr. Facebook page: www.facebook.com/pages/Velhart… Tumblr: om-nom-berries.tumblr.com/

...I'm so hungry now. I shouldn't have called it an enchilada.
